I'm slacking...again :(

I've let this blog go down the hill. It seems I'm doing "other things" in my "spare" time than blogging. hehe I just need to do better!! Nathan had a good wrestling season. We traveled to Baker 2/19, Glasgow 2/26, Williston 3/5, and Great Falls the weekend of Jessica's birthday 3/11,12,13 for state, and finished in Wolf Point 3/19.

Jessica turned '8' this year. I can hardly believe it. My baby girl is getting so BIG!! For her bday she wanted the same thing as last year - to go to a hotel w/ a pool & swim. So, same as last year, we killed 2 birds w/ one stone. We went to Great Falls. Nathan wrestled GREAT! He lost his 1st match Saturday & then won his next 3. That took him to whatever is before semi-finals. He made it the 2nd day, which is AWESOME!! Jessica was able to bring along a friend Alexa. We all enjoyed our weekend away.

This weekend Jessica has a dance competition. She will dance 2 jazz dances.

In a week or two soccer starts. Both kids are excited & really enjoy playing! They wished they could be on the same team.

Jessica will be getting baptised Easter weekend in Malad, Idaho!! She is so anxious for that day to get here!! My brother will be baptising both Jess & his daughter Brynn 4/23.

Nathan MY wrestler

Last night Sidney held a duel with a nearby town. It was just for fun and so that maybe grandparents or other local family that didn't travel to meets could watch wrestling. Nathan wasn't real enthused about going. He cried when we got there & wanted to go home. I walked him down to the mats to warm up. He was the 1st to wrestle. He cried when he was called out to center circle. Then GO!! He went ALL IN!! And WON!! He pinned the kid in like 10 seconds. Then he was smiling ear to ear!! Medals were awarded to ALL that participated. Both his grandma's got to see him live in action.

I still love you EVEN naked

Today as I was getting ready to take a shower Nathan said "mom I see your panties", to which I replied "great Nathan I'm your mom". And then HE said "I still love you even naked". Whoa!?What?! I wasn't even naked I still had on a shirt & my underwear. Anywho I hope that I NEVER hear those words From Neil.

Today Jessica has a soccer game that she probably isn't gonna go to, Nathan is having a mini wrestling meet here in town. It's raining so hopefully her game gets cancelled anyways. I told her she could go with one of her teammates. At the moment she is undecided.

Since it did rain & was sprinkling when I took Jess to school the kids got to wear their rain gear, Jess wore ladybug rainboots, flowery rainjacket, & use her ladybuy umbrella & Nate wore yellow rainboots, a frog rainjacket, & his blue diego umbrella.

A quick post

So last week we were all sick. I took Nate to DR on Thursday to have his ears looked at because he was up the night before complaining. And since we were going to Billings for the weekend to wrestle I didn't want him to be in pain. YEP he had ANOTHER ear infection. Actually, I think BOTH ears were red. Now he is on antibiotics. On our way into town I got rear ended!! Yeah!! Rear ended. Great!! I was stopped behind a car waiting to turn & he didn't see that we were stopped. The driver was a man in his work pick-up. I hit the car in front of me. There really isn't any damage to the front of my mini-van. But the rear has a cracked fender & dented trunk. My dash is lit up "rear hatch ajar".

We went to Billings anyways. The kids & I left Friday morning & came home today (Sunday) afternoon. Nathan wrestled both Saturday & Sunday. It was double elimination, meaning lose twice & your done. He won 1 & lost 1 Saturday. So we were back today. He was one place shy of "placing". He got 7th. First through 6th got medals.

While in Billings I had an insurance adjuster take a look at my van & access the damage. He cut me a check & I'll take it to the shop tomorrow here in town.

The weather/roads home weren't that great. Blizzarding, snowing, sleeting, very windy, slushy. I'm a good driver & still made it home in good time. We were glad to be home. The kids especially HAPPY to be sleeping in their OWN beds!! They were out quickly!!

More wrestling

Nathan wrestled in WP this past weekend & took 2nd!! He got 2 wins & lost his last match. He had LOTS of family/fans cheering him on, Dad, Jessica, G'pa & G'ma Romo, Auntie Ang, Ameliya, and G'ma Berta.

This coming weekend I'm gonna take him to Billings. There isn't any school on Friday so we will go down & stay in a motel with a pool. I told the kids IF they are good I will take them to Chuck E Cheese's, they've never been.

Tonight Jessica has her final Eaglette performance. She is glad that's over!!

He took 1st Place!!

Nathan wrestled over the weekend in Glendive. Last week his weight was 39.0. This week he weighed 40.3. He pinned ALL 3 of his competitors. His matches didn't last very long (too easy). The coach told the ref after this one to let these little guys wrestle a bit longer (Let them have some fun). Nathan was SO proud. I was SO proud!! He enjoys this SO much!! Tonight (Monday) at practice he will receive a trophy for his 1st place WIN!!

Wrestling

So after debating on whether or not to go, we DID go! We drove 2 hrs yesterday. We left at 545am to drive to Glasgow for a wrestling meet. Nate has only had 3 practices & cried at ALL of them. BUT he did AWESOME!!! He wrestled 4 boys weighing 39 lbs (give or take). He won 2 & lost 2. His last win, he pinned the boy!! It was so FUN!!! I camcorded all rounds but don't know how to get my computer to recognize my camcorder. It's an older cam. I have firewire or the cord to connect but can't figure out the rest. Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to ME!! Yesterday was my 31st Birthday. Nathan & I got up, got Jess to school, came home showered, baked my french toast oven bake for MOPS, & spent the next 2 hrs at MOPS. We came home, did the regular everyday household chores. Went & got the girls from school, my 10 yr old cousin & my DD, ran to the store for taco makings. Not sure what I was thinking but on Monday I signed Nate up for wrestling. He has practice 3 days a week for 1 hr. Right at supper time 530-630pm. I don't feel like I can feed him before, because I don't want him to go there with a full stomach then get tossed around only to throw up all over the other kid. By the time we get out of there & home it's almost 7pm. Too late to come home & try & cook. I'm just not looking forward to the next few months. But I AM soo excited to see him wrestle. The first night he sobbed like a BIG ole baby. A kid "bubba" helped him. Thank you Bubba!! The next night "bubba" was not there cause he was sick. Nate cried again. I dragged him out on the mats & put him in line & walked away. When it's all over he LOVES it!! He has a meet this coming weekend already, not sure yet if we'll be going or not. I told him if he cries at his next practice I wont take him to the out-of-town competition.
Anyways, we made it home last night after practice, ate, & had some cake & ice cream!! Neil took the kids to the store the night before to buy my gifts. He let them run around the store tossing a few things in the cart. I got from them...some purple dishcloths, a fish shaped soap dispenser, a rose scented candle, & really cute pink fuzzy slippers that were 2 sizes too small!! :-)
