Nathan Smarty Pants

Right now I'm really into my videos. All the footage I've taken of my kids over the last 6 yrs. I've been uploading to youtube for my family to view. I've posted a few here on my blog. I want to make sure I have the MPG loaded onto a disc & one of those mini drives so I can keep them forever!!

Nathan MY wrestler

Last night Sidney held a duel with a nearby town. It was just for fun and so that maybe grandparents or other local family that didn't travel to meets could watch wrestling. Nathan wasn't real enthused about going. He cried when we got there & wanted to go home. I walked him down to the mats to warm up. He was the 1st to wrestle. He cried when he was called out to center circle. Then GO!! He went ALL IN!! And WON!! He pinned the kid in like 10 seconds. Then he was smiling ear to ear!! Medals were awarded to ALL that participated. Both his grandma's got to see him live in action.

Please excuse my shouting. I need to remember I'm videoing & to try to be quiet.

I still love you EVEN naked

Today as I was getting ready to take a shower Nathan said "mom I see your panties", to which I replied "great Nathan I'm your mom". And then HE said "I still love you even naked". Whoa!?What?! I wasn't even naked I still had on a shirt & my underwear. Anywho I hope that I NEVER hear those words From Neil.

Today Jessica has a soccer game that she probably isn't gonna go to, Nathan is having a mini wrestling meet here in town. It's raining so hopefully her game gets cancelled anyways. I told her she could go with one of her teammates. At the moment she is undecided.

Since it did rain & was sprinkling when I took Jess to school the kids got to wear their rain gear, Jess wore ladybug rainboots, flowery rainjacket, & use her ladybuy umbrella & Nate wore yellow rainboots, a frog rainjacket, & his blue diego umbrella.

It was so cold & windy that evening that I didn't take too many pictures. I almost forget to even get my camera out. Nathan sat bundled in his little lawn chair the whole time. Once during the game the coach looked at Nathan thinking he was Jessica & asked him if he wanted to go back in & play. When Nathan shook his head no coach looked around & then saw Jessica standing next to him. It was funny!!

So no pictures were taken yet today. I tried to get caught up on laundry. I should've taken a picture of that mound pile.

For sure during tomorrow's soccer game I will snap some shots of Jess on the field.

And off!! I have the cutest Easter outfit for her. I just hope it fits!!

Oh tomorrow I have a hair appointment in the morning. It IS time for a makeover!! I'm getting it cut & colored. AND guess what?!??!?!? I didn't tell Neil. I'm testing him to see if he'll even notice & say something anything. If I remember I'll take a before & after to post.

Soccer

Jessica is playing soccer this year. This is her first year. She had one practice the end of last week & her first game last night. She did so good once she woke up to play the game (she wasn't really sleeping) She'll have 2 games a week for the next 5 weeks. Her team is Core Labs & their color is green.

Today I'll get pictures of Nathan on his new bike & post. He woke up today & said "my new bike is cool, huh, mom"

Busy busy busy

I have been Busy Busy BUSY!! OK since Nathan was told last week at the preschool screening that he had some hearing loss due to fluid in his ears, after the audiologist looked at them, even though he was ON antibiotics treating his ear infection, I made an appointment for him at the clinic. Yesterday early morning he was seen by a P.A. in the clinic. The P.A. said both ears STILL have fluid & are STILL red. He also heard some "rattling" in his chest, which could be pneumonia. We needed to head to town to get a chest x-ray. AND he wanted to give Nathan antibiotic SHOTS!! Yes, SHOTS!! Well before the shots Nate went to the lab to have his regular (CBC & Liver Panel) labs drawn. Then he was given a shot in each leg. The P.A. said Nathan needed shots AGAIN today :( So up we went again. TWO shots TWO legs TWO days in a row.

We had already planned on buying Nathan a bigger bike, so while in town, we stopped into Walmart & bought him a cool new bike!!

Yesterday as I drove home from town I decided I wanted to bring home a pick-up to test drive that Neil liked. So I DID!! I test drove a Silver 2005 Ford F-150. Sweet!! But we think our house needs fixed up more than we need a vehicle (payment).

I'm going to look into new carpets for all our bedrooms. Updating my kitchen with new counter tops & flooring. Neil's bathroom is a mess & gonna redo the whole thing!! This summer he plans on doing something about the enclosed porch & making a deck. AND if our funds allow us, we will pour some cement & make it so our driveway is nice & smooth so that Neil can shovel snow easier so the kids can ride bikes without all the bumps.

Back to Nathan being sick....Tonight he is wheezing. Funny thing is....is that he really isn't that sick. I didn't hear any word on his chest x-ray. But you better believe I'll be calling first thing in the morning for results!!

Our schedule

For the next couple of days is BUSY!!

Today I take Nathan to a preschool screening. Then Jessica has her 1st soccer practice. And while Jess is at soccer practice Nate will be at wrestling practice. I told him the other night was his last night but he would like to continue going. So I guess...

Since he is having preschool screening I called the preschool to make sure she has his name on her list. In the fall he will be going giving her gray hairs 3 days a week for 3 hours a day.

Saturday there are two Easter Egg Hunts in town. Then the kids get to go to a Birthday Party!! MOPS is having a Ladies Night Out!! I am going to eat Pizza & BOWL!! Sounds like FUN!! I haven't bowled in a LONG time...And the last time I did I had the brats kids with, so my time was spent MOSTLY helping them keep the balls off their toes push their balls down the lane.

Stuck in the Mud

I just came across these photos on my memory card. This was 2 weeks ago. Jessica & Nathan were at their friends house. On their way home they thought they needed to go through the neighbors garden, which was a HUGE mud pit. Jessica got STUCK. I honestly don't know what I would have done?! Luckily for HER, Neil was home early that day & he rescued her!!
