Found on my memory card

I found these pictures of Nathan taken May 14, 2009 and wanted to share my honery handsome boy!!

Last Day of School!!

So today is Jessica's last day of school. She is SO ready for summer!! She wanted to sleep in & not even go in today because 'all there doing is playing'. They are done at noon. Then we are gonna drive to Walmart to do some shopping!!

Not much going on. Nate & I went to the river one day this week to watch my friend paddlefish. She didn't snag anything while we were there but the next day she went back & caught her fish. The kids are in t-ball, on the same team, & had practice & a game this week. I didn't take my camera but a friend did & she said she would email me the pictures. As soon as she does I will post 'em.

I went to my friend Lorraine's house yesterday to make some cards & get some mom time. The kids had a picnic outside in the yard.

I have been snapping pictures just for FUN!! Here is a few of those taken this week.

On Sunday we drove up to Menard's to get Neil's door for his new shower. While we were there we went to the zoo. Grandma Mona gave both kids $10. On our way home we stopped at Walmart. This kids bought themselves snorkels. I was trying to take pictures of Nathan but he dumped a cup of water ALL OVER the bathroom floor & so he was removed from the bath tub. But I still was in picture mode. So his photos are taken in my bedroom after his bath.

These two were taken at home after her year-end Spring program.

One way you can tell summer is here is by my face, I'm outside more & the freckles begin to 'glow'

T.V. finale's

Almost every day something happens that I say to myself 'oh I'm gonna blog about that' than I get side-tracked & when I actually get to my computer I think 'huh? what was I gonna do?'

Well today I remembered that I was gonna comment on the season finale's of some of the shows I watch!!!

Starting with Grey's Anatomy!! WOW!! WHOA!! Man I LOVE that show!! I LOVE crying watching it every week.

So Sunday we were gonna watch Survivor finale, it was set to tivo, but my Mother-In-Law wanted to come over & visit. She'd been gone to Billings with her parents, while grandpa was sick & in the hospital being moved into a nursing home, for 10 days or so. Well after everyone went to bed. I turned on the tv. I began to watch & get all the way through the jury scene only to find out that it CUTS OFF!! It STOPPED recording to start recording Desperate Housewives 2 hr season finale. SO I never got to see the WINNER or reunion part of Survivor. I had to check the internet to find out. :( BUMMER - On the bright side I DID want JT to win!! :)

Anyone watch the Bachelor/Bachelorette??? I do!! I wasn't a fan of Jillian in the beginning of the Bachelor but the longer he kept her around the more I liked her. I was pleased to see her as this seasons Bachelorette! I wrote down my picks from the other night & guess what?!?! She kept ALL my favorites!!

American Idol. What was America thinking?? Sure he was a cutie but NOT that cute. I really wanted Danny Gokey to WIN!! He sang so AWESOME!! And Adam was way talented!! But Kris?? No I didn't vote on the last show.

I Went to CHURCH!!

Yesterday I went to church. Two Sundays ago I decided I would get up & go to church. Jessica had a friend sleep over that had to be ready for church by 930am. SO we got ready too. At 930am Jessica & I drove over to the church. I grew up attending church EVERY Sunday until I was a teenager. I have not been to church in like 15 yrs. GUESS WHAT??!!!?!! That Sunday church was being held in another town 50 miles away for a stake conference!!! Yeah Jokes on me!! First time in 15 yrs that I get brave enough to go to church & there isn't even church!!

Well we didn't make it the following Sunday because Nathan & I were on our way to Billings to catch a plane to get to Denver.

However, I DID go yesterday!! Jessica had a sleepover at her friends house. I called & told them I would be picking her up. I got ready & went to get Jess.

When I came home Neil had tore up the yard!! He dug up like 11 feet or so along the sprinklers. There was no pressure on one side & it was thought to have a crack in the pipe. He found the crack!! HUGE!! So he replaced it. My little sprinkler/plumber/handy man!!

The kids & I rode our bikes to the park.

Nathan's Doctor Appointment

We are home from our quick visit to Denver.
We drove to Billings on Sunday
Caught a 6 a.m. flight Monday morning to Denver
Took a city bus to The Children's Hospital
Ate breakfast
Checked in for appt
DR came in & asked a few questions, reviewed his blood work that I brought with us, & wanted Nate to have a CT scan & some blood work
Had CT scan - looked at his lungs -
DR said looks good! He can start a month long wean to stop taking the oral steroids but continue taking the immunosuppressant medication
Went for blood work
We took a city bus to the Denver Zoo & back to the hospital
Waited for a shuttle for a ride to the airport
Arrived Billings 11:24 p.m.
Came home Tuesday afternoon.

Overall it wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. She (the DR) thought that after reviewing the blood work it looked as if he (Nathan) had maybe had an "epidsode" of whatever it is that is wrong with him in March. Because his hemoglobin or hematicrit had a significant drop from the previous blood drawing a month earlier. He was sick at that time & I had taken him to the local DR too.

Can't You See I'm On The Phone?!?!

Nathan on my cell phone outside The Children's Hospital waiting for our shuttle to give us a ride to the airport.

Photo & Video of Jessica

This was a taken few weeks ago, April 25th, 2009. I meant to post it right away. I KNEW Jessica could do it!! I had Neil lift her training wheels up & I helped her ride up & down the street. Pretty soon she DID IT!! She was riding all by herself without my help & without the help of training wheels. I am running along side of her with my point & shoot camera.

She was so PROUD of herself!!

Isn't it SPRING???

I took these photos yesterday just before 12 noon. See my nice green grass in our backyard. Then the front view.

It did this for about 2 1/2 hours. Nathan asked if he could put on his snowsuit & go outside. Silly boy!! The snow didn't actually stick.

Our week

Well I can't remember Monday.

But Tuesday Jessica had a soccer game & let me tell you, she is getting AWESOME!! Too bad the season is in it's last week. It took her 3 or more weeks to figure it all out & she now enjoys it.

Wednesday was a beautiful day!! Nathan & I rode bike with Jessica to school. Then this week is National Physical Fitness week & her class went to the HS track to walk/run. Nathan & I went too. I don't have a pic of us, however, I did take a pic of Jessica walking with some classmates. I don't have a photo editing program to fix the flash/brightness of this photo.

After walking with Jessica, Nathan & I joined her for lunch at school in the cafeteria. Then we stay through recess & I let Nathan run around with all the other little kids.

Thursday was mostly unremarkable. I remember that was TV night. We watch Survivor, Neil watches CSI & I watch Grey's Anatomy. I LOVE that show!! After supper the kids & I went for a bike ride. I LOVE the nicer weather to be able to get out bike riding!!!

Yesterday, Friday was Neil's 33rd Birthday!!! We put his name on the radio. He LOVED us for that. May 8th marked one year since Nathan was life lighted out to Children's Hospital in Colorad. In the early morning my MIL Connie called to tell us that Grandpa was in the hospital with pneumonia. Nathan & I went over to cousin Lori's house to visit. Nathan played with his cousins Stephanie & Joey. Jessica had a soccer game. And we had Jessica's friend Estefania for a sleepover. After Jessica's game, I grilled steaks, after supper we sang "happy birthday" to Neil & eat cake & ice cream. Neil & I watched "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" last night.

This morning the girls wanted pancakes. So I cooked up some Nate's favorite 'sausage' to eat with our pancakes.

I have a picture to post of Nathan from a year ago today. This picture was taken with a polaroid at the hospital to prepare my 5 yr old Jessica to come in & see her 3 yr old brother laying in a hospital bed, intubated, with iv's, & all. The social worker gave us the Thomas the Train blanket & Spiderman bear to 'soften' it & not look so scary.

Flight booked

Wow it is sure easy to forget to blog. I have thought about it. But said to myself I would do it later or I wanted to wait until I had time to upload photos that I wanted to share. Still the photos have NOT been uploaded so I have not taken the time to blog.

Nathan has an appointment with the pulmonologist at The Children's Hospital on Monday, May 11th. So after writing it out on paper my options, I booked a flight out of Billings. We can fly out of Billings for $407, that is a round trip ticket for Nathan & Me. At first Neil suggested flying out of Sidney, but holy smokes at $219 a person for one way, who can afford that!! I pondered the idea of driving. But don't really think I want to drive in Denver traffic.

After being on meds everyday for the last 11 months & getting regular blood drawings HOPEFULLY he can be taken off & WILL be healthy as can be for the rest of his life!! Please say a prayer for my Nathan!! I'm trying to be optimistic but each time he gets sick we worry about how bad it will get. How fast he begins to wheeze. And when he coughs how Neil calls to check on him during the day to see if he has gotten worse.

Jessica's soccer season is almost over. Only 2 more games left this week. It has been FUN!!

We had the bedroom bathroom done. New!! It was sheetrocked, textured, painted, we bought a new shower, toilet, vanity, & new flooring. Neil LOVES his bathroom!!
